Norman Rockwell's Home for Christmas (Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas) has come to symbolize Christmas in New England, just as Rockwell intended in 1967. First published for as a story illustration for McCall's, Rockwell wanted the editors to identify the scene as Stockbridge in the text - and they did. McCall's reached out to its national audience by adding, "Wherever you happen to hail from - city, suburb, farm or ranch - we hope you will have, for a moment, the feeling of coming home for Christmas."
Lemax, a worldwide leader in collectible Christmas miniature village decorations, was inspired to recreate this quintessential small town scene to give collectors the opportunity to invite Norman Rockwell's Stockbridge Main Street into their own homes.
This brand new collection differs from other standard village collections in many ways, starting with larger sizes, and made from polyresin rather than porcelain for a higher level of accurate architectural detailing with brightly lit scenes inside and out.
