Norman Rockwell Museum of Stockbridge Massachusetts holds the world's largest collection of original Rockwell art. Founded in 1969, it has become the nation's preeminent museum of American illustration and a leading cultural destination of the Berkshires.
Rockwell's actual Stockbridge studio moved from the artist's home on Main Street to the museum site in 1986, it remains open to the public from May through October.
The Linwood House was built in 1859 for New York attorney Charles Butler. The estate now serves as the museum's administrative offices.
