From the very beginning of Norman Rockwell's career, dogs were integral to his art. Often they convey the emotion of a scene, as when a family pet bounds forward to greet a soldier returning from war, or sadly nuzzles a young man departing for college.
Inspired by Norman Rockwell's 1936 story illustration Dog and Beetle for The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
Hand painted and glittered glass ornament measures 2" X 3.5" X 1.5" inches. Crafted with care and precision out of fine glass. Blown glass made by skilled glassblowers one at a time.
