A total of 295 prints of this kind were produced. A set of 200 were numbered. Another set of 35 were A\/P's numbered with Roman numerals. A set of 60 were unnumbered. All of the prints made were signed in pencil by Norman Rockwell.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe young hat check girl in \u003cem\u003eConvention\u003c\/em\u003e may well have been an aspiring actress trying to make ends meet while waiting for a chance at stardom. With her arms full of coats and hats sporting buttons, she is exhausted and bored, ignored by conventioneers who have dumped their belongings into her arms (and on her head) and rushed off to meetings. The small stack of tickets coupled with the huge pile she holds invite speculation about how she will ever be able to return the possessions to their rightful owners. As a final small slight, Rockwell includes a smoldering cigar by her feet.
